The Allen-Bradley Guardmaster 440G-T27256 is a safety locking switch that is designed to detect in depth position interlock for moving guards and thus, provides a mechanism that counteracts the errors detected mainly by having the guards closed until the removal of the hazards. It belongs to the type TLS-2 GD2 family with a power to lock functionality. The power supply voltage is rated at 24 volts alternating current (AC)/direct current (DC) with the insulation voltage indicated to be 500 Volts. It has two normally closed (NC) safety contacts and one normally open (NO) auxiliary contact.
The solenoid, which is receptive to open guard, is operated by magnetic force. It aids by keeping the guard closed until the completion of dangerous processes. The solenoid’s maximum holding force is 2000 Newtons and the releasable load is rated at 100 Newtons. The power rating of the solenoid is 7 watts. The device is featured with an escape release button whose maximum force rating is 50 Newtons. The actuator type is of fully flex and is made of stainless steel. It is a 12-pin M23 connector with Bulletin 440G-T27241. For optimum operations, the device should be subjected to temperatures that are between -20 and 60 degrees Celsius. The actuation speed is rated at 160 millimeters/second, whereas the maximum actuation frequency is one cycle per second. It has an operating life of 1,000,000 operations at a 100-milliampere loading current.
