The 2706-B23J8 is a DL20 Dataliner message display terminal. This terminal requires an input voltage of 100 to 240 volts AC (alternating current) to operate properly. This terminal is capable of displaying two (2) lines of text at the same time. Each line displayed on this terminal is capable of displaying a maximum of twenty (20) characters. This message display module's inbuilt factory designated memory capacity is 8K (RAM). The same programming feature enables the files and messages configuration to be flexible between the modules. The input type of this product is capable of handling ASCII characters. Also, it supports RS-422 and RS-232 to establish communication. Additionally, this terminal is housed with a NEMA type 12/13 enclosure that ensures moderate protection against some essential harmful substances such as dust and debris indoors. This terminal was built to be compact, as well as highly durable. Other product details include a user memory of up to 128 KB and point-to-point slave communications via an RS-232 communication port. This terminal has a vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) with an adjustable brightness from 0% to 100%. This display also has a display size that measures 14.4 inches x 14.4 inches. The size and weight of this message display terminal has been reduced from previous iterations. This terminal has a panel depth of 3 inches, which was reduced from 4.5 inches. Additionally, the weight of this terminal is 3.7 pounds, rather than 7.3 pounds.
