The 199-MCD1 is a dual interlock that must detect fire from a heat or smoke detector and conduct an automatic sprinkle operation. It has both the mechanical and the electrical interlock. It has a maximum insulating voltage that is rated 600 volts AC with a rated current of 6 amperes. It is used alongside a contactor with the Category Number 100-B110 --- B300. The electrical ratings of the contactor are as followers; for AC1, the rated current at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) is 160/400 amperes. It has an insulation voltage of 660/600 volts. AC2, AC3, AC4 and AC5 at a frequency of 50 hertz subjected to 55 degrees Celsius temperature has a current rating of 110/304 amperes. To increase the efficiency in operation, the contactors should be arranged in parallel so that it acts as a single circuit. The average current flow impendence along the circuit per pole is 0.5/0.3 milliohms. For protection against overvoltage, the device implements a fuse whose size is 200/500 amperes and its coordinates is type 2. The heat dissipation of the alternating coil is 12.5/35.4 watts and the coil is capable of operating within 85 – 110 percent of the rated volts. The enclosure is not protected from infiltration of solid or liquid particles as it has an IP rating of IP00. The mechanical life span of the device is 10 million operations and the maximum number of auxiliary circuit is 5. At normal voltage, the mechanical operating time at 20 degrees Celsius is 181 -191 milliseconds for direct current.
