The Allen Bradley 160-DN2 is a device which is used as an interface between motor variable speed controller, or variable frequency drive (usually called VFD) and DeviceNet network devices. In other words, to get motor control (through VFD) from network, the 160-DN2 must be added into VFD. It is designed specifically for Bulletin 160 variable frequency drives, and has 3 LEDs, or light emitting diodes, in front of it and that designates its general status, such as Ready, Fault and Run. VFD controls motor speed but also start up, stop, acceleration etc. and there are a lot of parameters that can be monitored while the device is working and can be also used for testing, diagnostic and other purposes.
