This is the Allen-Bradley 160-BA04NSF1P1 Smart Speed Controller module. It is part of the 160 SSC series and is a three phase controller that operates at 380 Volts to 460 Volts AC. This controller is compatible with three phase motors that have a power rating of 1.5 Kilowatts (2 Horsepower). The Drive Type for the 160-BA04NSF1P1 is Analog Signal Follower. Available control inputs for this controller include an external speed potentiometer, an analog current input ranging from 4 milliamperes to 20 milliamperes, or a -10 Volt to +10 Volt DC analog voltage input. The controller has an input current draw rating of 4.6 Amperes and a maximum current output limit of 4 Amperes. The unit is rated to dissipate 50 Watts of power. The controller is cooled using a built-in fan. This controller module is contained in an open style enclosure that is built to conform to IP20 standards for environmental protection. The Dynamic Braking Torque rating for this controller is 150 when an external braking module is used, and the torque rating is 50 if internal braking is used only. This controller has dimensions of 152 x 80 x 165 millimeters (6.00 x 3.15 x 6.51 inches) and weighs approximately 1.02 kilograms (2.24 pounds). This module uses an Insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) as a switching device. The controller is able to carry out sine weighted pulse width modulation that includes harmonic compensation. A Program Keypad Module is included in this controller to allow the user to view the controller’s operational status and adjust the running parameters.
