The Allen-Bradley SMC-3 series controller 150-C37NBD is primarily used to optimize motor starts and stops using soft starters. The controller works with three-phase motors. It has safety features such as inbuilt overload protection and six silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCRs), two for each of the three phases, to adjust the conduction period and voltage (and torque in effect) to the motor during start, run, and stop operations. The SMC-3 controller has a compact and smart design. It is easy to configure and has a secured setup.
