The Allen-Bradley produced 1771-OBD is a non-isolated output device that belongs to the Bulletin 1771 series of Allen-Bradley product. It has sixteen (16) non-isolated output ports. This one is best suited should be used in conjunction with the PLC5 line of products and is often utilized to supply electrical loads that are powered by direct currents like relay coils and pilot lights. When it's turned on, it has an output power rating of 48 volts DC and can vary between 10 volts DC and 60 volts DC. The output channels on the 1771-OBD are measured at 2 amperes, resistive, with a total of 8 amperes per device, and the pilot duty output is 0.2 amperes per pilot. For each channel, there is a minimum surge of 4 amperes of rated current per output for a duration of 10 milliseconds, going on to repeat every 6 seconds period, and a highest-rated 25 amperes of surge current per output for a duration of 10 milliseconds, repeating each 2 seconds. The minimum load current for each channel is 2.5 milliamperes. Part number 1771-OBD has an on-state voltage loss of 1.5 volts DC, and the highest leakage current in the off-state is 0.5 milliamperes. The delay between the output signal and the input signal is 0.1 milliseconds for OFF to ON transitions and 0.2 milliseconds for ON to OFF transitions. The 1771-OBD is capable of being mounted to any I/O chassis with the identification numbers 1771-A1B through 1771-A4B, with the only exception to this being the I/O chassis with the identification number 1771-A4.
