The Allen-Bradley 1770-KFD is a DeviceNet RS-232 Interface Module. This module offers a link between the host computer and the DeviceNet network. This device supports a voltage of 9 Volts DC. The module draws a current of 1 Ampere. The 1770-KFD has a 9-pin D-shell RS-232 connector. This RS-232 connector offers a selectable communication rate from 1200 bauds to 57600 bauds. The module has also an unsealed 5-pin DeviceNet connector that provides a selectable communication rate from 125 kilobauds to 500 kilobauds. The device can be easily mounted on a DIN rail. This device supports a non-condensing relative humidity range from 5 percent to 95 percent and a vibration frequency range from 10 Hertz to 500 Hertz.

The Allen-Bradley 1770-KFD can be stored in a safe environment that shouldn’t be full of condensation or corrosion at a temperature from -40 degrees to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees to 185 degrees Fahrenheit). This device can operate at an altitude of up to 1000 meters (3300 feet) without deterioration. The 1770-KFD has an operating specification for the mechanical shock level of 15 g.
