The VPL-B1003F-PK12AA is a brushless servo motor from the Kinetix VP series of servo motors. This servo motor incorporates high-energy ground magnets, which help improve performance. This device has a frame size, or bolt circle diameter (BCD) that measures 100 millimeters. This device also has a 3-inch magnet stack length. It even has a 4500 revolutions per minute (rpm) rated speed, with a maximum speed of 4750 revolutions per minute (rpm). The Allen Bradley VPL-B1003F-PK12AA has an 18-bit absolute multi-turn digital encoder that gives absolute position feedback within 4096 revolutions. This encoder supports the Hiperface DSL protocol, which enables a high-speed connection between the connector and the servo drive. The VPL-B1003F-PK12AA features a smooth shaft, a single SpeedTec DIN connector that is positioned at a right angle and can be rotated up to 325 degrees. This servo motor has a rated motor output of 1.65 kilowatts, or the equivalent of 2.21 horsepower, and a rotor inertia of 0.0000012 kg-m², or 0.00010 lb-in-s². This motor has a rated torque of 4.18 Nm, or 37.0 lb-in, and a continuous torque rating of 11.15 Nm, or 99.0 lb-in. This servo motor is particularly suitable for use with the Kinetix 5500 and Kinetix 5700 dual-axis drives, and suitable application areas include packing, modification, handling electrical assembly, automotive, and other similar applications. Allen-Bradley 2090 cable technology is compatible with the VPL-B1003F-PK12AA. This series of cables ensures a fast and secure connection of the engine power line, as well as strong resistance to vibrations and shocks. This device has an IP rating of IP50 but can reach up to IP65 when used with the appropriate signal machine and wired with waterproof cable connectors.
