The Allen-Bradley MPL-B680F-MJ74AA low-inertia brushless servo motor is a device specifically designed and engineered to cater to the requirements of high-performance control systems. The motor functions on an input power supply with a voltage rating of 460 volts of alternating current. With a frame size of 215 millimeters and a stack length of 203.2 millimeters, the motor has a highly compact design and can be easily mounted on a chassis frame or an enclosure. The motor is capable of a very high value of efficiency and can produce 40 percent more torque than conventional servo motors available in the market. The motor is equipped with a holding brake that is rated at 24 volts of direct current. Mounting holes are provided on the motor to facilitate easy and effective mounting on to the enclosure.
The Allen-Bradley MPL-B680F-MJ74AA servo motor is equipped with a feedback system to improve the degree of control that the user has over the control system’s components. A multi-turn high-resolution encoder is used to provide information regarding the absolute position of the motor to the operator. This allows the operator to gauge the operational power requirements of the system and fine-tune the operation of the motor to ensure the optimum productivity of the automation system. The motor displays good performance characteristics at room temperature and humidity levels ranging from 5 percent to 95 percent. A shaft seal with an IP66 environmental rating can also be used to prevent oil splashes and ensure a clean and hygienic working environment.
