Allen-Bradley's MPL-B4530K-SJ22AA Kinetix servo motor is an alternating current type synchronous motor. It offers a motion control solution for applications that require precise position/speed control, such as the automatic industry. The closed-loop feedback system in this motor provides exact control and is based on a single-turn rotary encoder that only provides accurate control over 1 rotation (360 degrees). This motor is also preferred for applications where motor weight is a sensitive parameter. As it uses permanent magnets, this motor has less weight and high output torques. MPL-B4530K-SJ22AA's mechanical dimensions are in accordance with IEC 72 - 1 standard. The motor's frame is 130 millimeters in size and has free mounting holes. It has a shaft key AND an optional steel key for rigid connection. It contains bayonet connectors that are round and non-rotatable for connections. It encloses a permanent magnetic stack that measures 3 inches in length. Its armature windings run 400 volts alternating current (AC) through them. These fields (magnetic and armature) interactions can turn the rotor of a motor with a max speed of 4000 rpm (revolutions per minute), and the peak maximal achievable stall torque is 20.3 newton-meters. The MPL-B4530K-SJ22AA can be controlled to provide 8.13 Newton meters of rated continuous stall torque. It comes with bearings that can last up to 20,000 hours that depend on the axial and radial loads on the shaft of the motor. At 4000 rpm, it can bear 66 kilograms (kg) of radial load and 19 kilograms of axial load. While increasing these load values, the speed also changes accordingly.
