The Allen-Bradley MPL-B4530F-MJ72AA is a servo motor. It is a brushless high output motor that is included in the Bulletin MPL series of low inertia drives. This unit offers high performance built into a compact motor size, and is intended for use in material handling, automotive, packaging, and similar industrial applications. This motor has a voltage class of 400 Volts. It is rated for operation at up to 3000 revolutions per minute (rpm). The motor is designed for operation with sustained shaft loads with radial and axial load forces. This unit has a magnetic stack length of 3 inches enabling operation with low inertia and high speeds. It uses a multi-turn encoder that provides feedback data at a high-resolution. The motor does not come with a shaft seal, but does include a shaft key. The shaft seal compatible with this motor has the part number MPL-SSN-A5B5. If the shaft seal is not installed, the ingress protection rating of the motor depends on the motor mounting orientation. When mounted with the shaft down, the motor is rated IP53. Mounting with the shaft horizontal or upwards results in the ingress ratings of IP51 or IP50, respectively. The motor has circular DIN connectors that are rotatable through 180 degrees. This unit does not come pre-installed with a built-in holding brake. It is equipped with standard options from the factory. The motor has a maximum shaft diameter of 24.0 millimeters (0.945 inches). The pilot diameter is 110.0 millimeters (4.331 inches). The motor uses an IEC metric mounting flange.
