The 2711P-T6M3A terminal offers a compact HMI application that offers graphical display, controlling and monitoring status information of the application. The 2711P-T6M3A comes embedded a grayscale display (passive matrix) with a touchscreen function incorporated. It makes use of a film compensated super-twist nematic technology. It has a screen resolution of 320 pixels (wide) × 240 pixels (high). Touch Screen is of type analog resistive and uses little power. The terminal's real-time clock, as well as static RAM, are powered up by a lithium battery. This battery is not used for application backup or retention. This battery cannot be replaced and should be removed only when the device's usable life has expired. It has an AC input voltage ranging from 85 volts to 264 volts, an operating frequency range of 47 Hertz to 63 Hertz, and a maximum power usage of 60 volt-amperes.The 2711P-T6M3A includes a base-configured unit with several connectors and sockets. One slot accommodates an alternating current (AC) source, one port accommodates CompactFlash memory, one port accommodates Ethernet network connections, one port (RS-232) accommodates a serial communication, and one port accommodates a USB connection. A modular communication interface is also included. It features an x86 processor, 64 MB of synchronous dynamic RAM, and 64 MB of application memory. This operator terminal also allows for the addition of an external communication module. This communication module is an add-on module that connects with the base unit via the network interface. The module facilitates the additional communication protocols, like ControlNet networks, DH+, DH-485, and isolated RS-232.
