The 2711P-T12C4D1 is a PanelView Plus 1250 terminal that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The terminal is made up of three components. A graphical color display with touchpad support is the primary block. The display is a color TFT active matrix LCD with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and a dimension of 12.1 inches. The surface area of the display is 246 mm by 184 mm. The logic module of the 2711P-T12C4D1 possesses an Ethernet interface which lets the terminal link up with printers, network equipment, SLC 500 & MicroLogix controllers, and other devices through the network. The terminal is outfitted with two USB ports, each with a 5.25 volt open-circuit voltage and a short-circuit current of 1.68 amps (direct current). It also possesses an RS-232 port that provides full-duplex communication (direct communication) between the terminal and the PLC controller. It also provides an interface to connect with the computer for applications files, printing, etc. The terminal comes with an internal memory of 64 MB RAM and 64 MB of flash memory.The terminal also supports modular connection, enabling the adoption of additional communication functionalities. The 2711P-T12C4D1 requires a DC power source and needs a voltage between 18 and 32 VDC to be powered up. The terminal has a maximum power consumption rating of 70 watts. For normal operating conditions, the ambient temperature is allowed within 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. There are LED status indicators embedded on the terminal that communicate communication and hardware faults to operators.
