An Allen Bradley product, the 2711P-RN6 is a communication module that belongs to the family of PanelView Plus terminals. This product is compatible with PanelView Plus 700 to 1500 DH+ modules. It is also compatible with PanelView Plus CE products. It comes with a single 9-pin D-Plug connector for RS-232 connections, as well as a single 6-pin Phoenix connector for DH-485 connections. The DH-485 is the main communication port for this communication module.

Communication between PLC-5 controllers and PanelView Plus 6 terminals, along with a communication cable, requires either the 2711P-RN6 module or 2711P-RN6K module. The 2711P-RN6K module also needs a shielded twin axial cable or a 1770-CD cable. To communicate between PanelView Plus 6 700 through 1500 models, as well as SLC 5/01, 5/02, and 5/03 device, a 2711P-RN6 module is required, along with a 1761-CBL-AS03 cable, which has a length of 3 meters (10 feet), or a 1761-CBL-AS09 cable, which has a length of 9 meters (30 feet). The Allen Bradley 2711P-RN6 communication module has an approximate weight of three (3) pounds. this module should be operated within an environment where the temperature ranges from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, or the equivalent temperature range of 32 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit.
