The combination touch screen and keypad input system gives additional function keys that sit to the left and the right of the terminal’s touch screen display. The 2711P-B15C22A9P’s keypad features a numeric keypad, navigation keys, and function keys. The numeric keypad consists of numeric, decimal, and minus keys. The numeric keypad also includes a backspace key, an enter key, tab-left and tab-right keys, and an escape key. The navigation keys provide the user with navigational control of the terminal. These keys include arrow keys that let users move the cursor, a home/end key that moves the insertion point to the beginning or end of an entry field, and page up and down keys that take users to the next or previous page of a list. The 2711P-B15C22A9P’s keypad comes with function keys that can perform specific commands. The terminal has function keys that range from F1-F6 and F7 to F12. The terminal comes with two USB host ports that support removable USB drives and USB printers. These host connections are intended for temporary use and should not be used during runtime operations. USB devices that receive their power from an external source and not the USB port should be placed in the same enclosure as the terminal. The 2711P-B15C22A9P terminal also supports connections to approved USB printers. The terminal supports local USB printers, network printers, and RDP/ICA printers. A local USB printer is one that is connected to the terminal's USB host port, while a network printer is a printer that is connected to the network with an Ethernet port.
