The Allen-Bradley 2711-T10G15 is a user-controlled operator panel designed to cater to a plethora of industrial machine control applications. The device possesses the ability to communicate with machine components within the control system and relay messages and instructions from the user over a configured ControlNet network. A reset option is also available on the menu to restore the default settings of the panel. The ControlNet network supports various controllers including programmable logic controllers and ControlLogix controllers that are used in conjunction with the 1756-CNB module. The transfer of applications from the panel to other devices within the system can be carried out and facilitated using the ControlNet network. The panel is equipped with a dedicated communication port to configure the ControlNet network. The 2711-T10G15 is equipped to handle communication channels that can be established with several remote devices within the control system. A standard RS-232 serial port is also provided to facilitate contact between the user and a remote I/O device such as a scanner or a printer. This serial port can also be used to transfer files and applications from the panel to an external device such as a personal computer. The panel also supports COMM status and fault indicators to ensure successful communication and efficient synchronization between the device and the components of the industrial automation system.
