The Allen-Bradley 2711-T10C10L1 is a member of the Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation PanelView 1000 Color Terminals. It is equipped with a 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.) touch screen with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The touch screen provides a better user interface. The user can use the touch screen to enter a wide array of values in the form of alphanumeric characters, statistics, and ASCII characters. Interactive screen objects are aligned with touch cells when the application is created. It is also fitted with a 10.1-inch color display screen with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. This display provides a good looking and vibrant display to the user. It is equipped with a non-volatile memory and 1,008 kilobytes of random access memory which can be used to store applications, files and data. The operator terminal takes an input power of rated at 24 volts of direct current. It houses an RS-232 printer port that can be used to connect to a printer and print terminal logs and other data in the background while the operator terminal is performing its usual functions. It is also equipped with a DeviceNet port which can be used to connect to a DeviceNet network. The RS-232 port can also be used to connect to an RS-232 port of a personal computer which then allows the user to upload and download files to and from the operator terminal with ease. It is also fitted with status indicators in the form of green and red LEDs. These status indicators allow the user to easily understand, isolate and troubleshoot problems during the day to day operations of the terminal.
