Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley manufactures Allen-Bradley 2711-K9A5 operator terminal as part of the bulletin 2711 Standard Operator Terminal series. This is a 9-inch monochrome keypad user input module designed and intended to provide an interface for the logic controller. The terminal features a long-lasting AC gas plasma screen. It also comes with the RS-232 (DH-485) communication that helps in connecting to the DH-485 network, MicroLogix and SLC controller, or the Wallmount power source. The connection can as well help in transferring the applications by connecting to the PC’s RS-232 serial port. Also, the 2711-K9A5 terminal has 1008 kilobytes of internal memory and features the keypad designed for finger operation, whether bare or gloved. The 2711-K9A5 operator terminal has F1 to F16 function keys that are used to carry out tasks as well as various operations on the terminal display. Additionally, the user can enter the numeric values, negative values, and decimals using the numeric entry keys. There is also a cursor key for navigating through the menu and entering the configuration mode, as well as selecting the entry object from lists displayed.
