The 2711-K6C16 is a discontinued PanelView 600 operator terminal manufactured by Allen Bradley/ Rockwell Automation as part of the PanelView 600 product line. It is intended to help the user interface quickly with their machine. The terminal has a human-machine interface with a 5-inch color display. This terminal has a human-machine interface that is controlled using a keypad for entry of data and information. This module runs on an input power of 85 - 264 volts AC and features 240 kilobytes of internal memory. Where necessary, there is an optional internal backlight part number 2711-NL3 for replacement. It weighs approximately 6 lbs and measures about 14 x 11 x 8 inches. This and other operator terminals in the PanelView 600 series come with RS-232 (DF1) port for use with an individual SLC 500, MicroLogix, PLC-5, or controller, which supports Full Duplex communication. The DF1 port is a proprietary master/slave protocol by Allen Bradley used for transporting information over serial data communication RS-485, RS-422, and RS-232 interface. The DF1 is used for applications that require messaging from and to other equipment and controllers by Allen Bradley. This provides excellent peer-to-peer communication via Full Duplex.
