The GE Fanuc Emerson IC200MDL650 is a discrete logic input module that includes thirty-two (32) discrete input points which can be positive or negative logic inputs and supports a voltage rating range from zero (0) to 30 Volts DC. These inputs are grouped into four (4) well-isolated groups of eight (8) inputs (A1 - A8, A9 – A16, B1 – B8, and B9 – B16) which are labeled with LED indicators to show the status of inputs. The device employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 250 Volts AC continuously and 1500 Volts AC for one minute between groups and between inputs and frame ground. The module offers an on and off response time of 0.5 milliseconds with a total filter response time of 1.5 milliseconds. This input module employs 32 bits of discrete input data.
The IC200MDL650 offers input filter times of 0 milliseconds, 1 millisecond, and 7 milliseconds, which are selectable through the CPU software configuration. The module has an input impedance of 10 kiloohms. The processing can be performed by either NIU or a CPU. This module draws a current of 50 milliamperes at a voltage rating of +5 Volts DC. The IC200MDL650 includes a green LED indicator on the faceplate to indicate the power presence on the module when connected to the backplane. The inputs can be employed in many applications such as limit, electronic proximity, and pushbutton switches. The IC200MDL650 weighs approximately 250 grams (0.55 pounds) while shipping and operates at zero (0) to 60 degrees Celsius (32 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications.
