GE Fanuc designed, manufactured, and distributed the IC200MDL632 module to serve as a discrete input module. The function of an input device is to link the input and return terminals. Furthermore, the CPU or the NIU handles the intelligent processes of this device. In addition to that, this device by GE Fanuc includes separate green light emitting diodes (LEDs) that display the on or off status of every input location, and backplane current may be given to the light emitting diode indicators to signal the position and condition of inputs. The on-off response time of this GE Fanuc device is 0.5 milliseconds. Extra filtering may be required in some applications to handle noise peaks or switch bounces. This module has a nominal voltage of 125 volts of direct current (DC). This GE Fanuc device's input channels have an isolation rating of 250 volts alternating current (AC) when operating continuously, as well as an isolation rating of 1500 volts alternating current (AC) when operating for one (1) minute. Additionally, each channel has a rated voltage range of 0 to 150 volts alternating current (AC), with an input current demand of 1.7 milliamperes at 125 volts direct current (DC) and 2.2 milliamperes at 150 volts direct current (DC). This device has a minimum on-state current of 1.0 milliampere, as well as a maximum off-state current of 0 to 0.1 milliamperes. The on-state voltage rating of this module is 90 to 150 volts DC, while the rated off-state voltage is 0 to 30 volts DC. This device receives its current supply via a Versamax PLC's backplane.
