The GE Fanuc Emerson IC200CPU002 is a VersaMax CPU. The CPU is employed to achieve real-time monitoring of machines and processes. The device includes 42 kilobytes of storage and 2048 I/O points. This CPU contains an RS-485 port to send and save applications and an extra RS-232 port to update the firmware. The IC200CPU002 includes seven LED indicators on the faceplate to show the current CPU status. The device supports Serial I/O, Modbus RTU, and SNP slave connections with an execution speed of 1.8 microseconds per 1000 boolean function. The IC200CPU002 supports floating-point operations and has the overriding feature. This CPU contains a battery-backed memory to maintain data, program memory, and calendar clock information for one hour with a shelf life of 5 years. The device has 1024 points discrete internal bits and 256 points of discrete temporary bits.
