The IC697RCM711 RCM module is a member of the Series 90-70 product line. It is ideally built to synchronize the two CPUs in an improved hot standby CPU redundancy system by providing from the unit of backup for synchronized messages. This module offers a channel for shared I/O data to be transferred between the two devices. This device has two connectors. The maximum power rating of this device is 0.7 amperes.

The IC697RCM711 belongs to the GE Fanuc Series 90-70 product line. It is made for use for redundancy communications. There are a total of five (5) LED indicators on this module. All the five LED indicators are used for displaying system's status, as well as the board's status. There is a single slot between the individual slots numbered 9 and 2. The text labels on the redundancy communication modules are Remote Active, Remote Ready, Local Active, Local Ready, and Board OK.

The GE Fanuc IC697RCM711 comes with the upstream BRM, and the upstream BTM attached with the top connector. The connector at the bottom is not used for this purpose. Its maximum power rating is 0.7 amperes. It features a high-speed parallel interface. It can be used to execute both Hot Standby CPU Redundancy & Hot Standby industrial systems. 

The GE Fanuc IC697RCM711 comes with a pushbutton. This button lets the machine easily alternate between the active and the manual mode. This helps with executing maintenance tasks while the power unit is active. However, consecutive push on the button must have a gap of 10 seconds. This module is ideal for executing synchronization communication path, and connect he backup unit with the primary unit. It can also be used as a conduit for transferring I/O data between connected units.
