The IC697HSC700 is a sole slot high-speed counter module for the processing of signals at a rate of 200 kHz. It has 5 selectively counter types with different configurations (a, b, c, d, and e). Each counter is configured to govern in either continuous or single-shot mode. In continuous counter mode, when the upper or lower counter exceeds, the counter coats around to the other limit and proceeds; in single-shot counter mode the counter accounts pay either the upper or lower limit and stop. The IC697HSC700 has 12 single-ended or differential inputs, 4 outputs, and a PLC ladder interrupt proficiency (optional). It rapidly processes the signal having a frequency rate up to 200 Khz and it senses the inputs from the field devices, filters the intake counter data, and controls its output without communicating or interfering with the PLC CPU. There are 5 status LEDs accessible in the module - the Module OK LED indicates the present status of the high-speed counter module and the 4 output LED implies the current status of the corresponding output whether it is in on/off state.
The main features of the IC697HSC700 module include inbuilt + 5 Volt DC output, external oscillator, software configuration, and internal module diagnosis capability. Software format is done by using the configuration function of the Windows programming software. This high-speed counter module is simple and user-friendly with the PLC interference that makes it extremely useful and finds applications for industrial purposes including process control, motion control, velocity measurement, etc. It can be installed in any area of an I/O slot in the CPU rack. There are 40 removal terminal strip connection points to field devices to the high-speed counter.
