The IC693MDR390 is a 24 Volt DC I/O Relay Module that is manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation. The IC693MDR390 I/O Relay Module provides eight (8) inputs, eight normally-open relay circuits, and one common power input terminal. The input circuits of the module are compatible with positive or negative characteristics in which they sink or source between the input devices and a common user. The input circuits are arranged in a single group for every eight inputs. The relay output circuits are arranged in two groups each containing four circuits. For both the output groups, there is a common terminal. Input characteristics of the module are compatible with a wide range of I/O devices. Some of the devices compatible with the module include pushbuttons, limit switches, and proximity switches which can be very useful for various applications. Field devices can operate on power supplied by the user. The output loads can be controlled by the relay circuits, which are normally-open.
Each output of the module has two Amperes of switching capacity output. Relay outputs of the module can control various load devices supplied by the user like solenoids, motors, and indicators. The backplane of the IC693MDR390 I/O relay module has a 24 Volt DC bus that provides power for the internal relay circuit. The field devices connected to the module can operate on AC or DC source for power and this needs to be supplied by the user. The module includes no fuse for its protection. The IC693MDR390 consists of indicators for providing the operating status of the device indicating if the device is in an ON or OFF state. These green LED indicators are ordered in rows. These indicators are labeled as input and output points and color-coding schemes are included on these indicators to avoid handling errors.
