The IC693MDL653 was designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc as an input module with a 24-volt direct current (DC) input voltage range. Furthermore, the average input current is 7.5 milliamperes. The module's on-state voltage is 15 volts of direct current (DC) at a minimum, while its off-state voltage is 6 volts of direct current (DC) at a maximum. Furthermore, the module's on-state current is 4.5 milliamperes at a minimum, with an off-state current of 2 milliamperes at a maximum. The module's reaction time is the same for on and off, which is 2 milliseconds. In addition, the internal power usage is 5 milliamperes. This product is compatible with the Series 90-30 programmable logic controller (PLC) series. Furthermore, the module is referred to as a direct current positive or negative logic input module. The module contains 32 inputs per module, divided into four (4) subgroups; each has two (2) conventional pins that are all linked together, and each group has eight (8) points. When linked to a positive logic, it pushes current from the input device connected to the primary bus to the circuit input connected to the negative bus. When the module is linked for negative logic, it also receives currents from the input device and passes them to the positive power bus. Furthermore, the module offers a 1500-volt isolation range between each field side and the logic side.
