The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693MDL646 is a fast discrete logic input module that includes 16 discrete input points which can be positive or negative logic inputs and supports a voltage rating range from 0 Volts DC to 30 Volts DC. The IC693MDL646 inputs are grouped into a single well-isolated group (A1 - B8) which are labeled with green LED indicators to show the status of inputs with a common power input terminal. This module is very fast and offers 1 millisecond for on and off response times. The IC693MDL646 employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 1500 Volts between logic and field sides. The IC693MDL646 can be easily mounted in any I/O slot baseplate and can be employed with many DC input devices such as limit and electronic proximity switches and pushbuttons.
The IC693MDL646 can be electrically supplied either by the operator or from an isolated +24 Volts DC supply which can be found at I/O connectors of the module.
