The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693MDL390 is a discrete output module that includes five isolated discrete output points that support a voltage range from 85 volts AC to 264 volts AC and an output current of 2 amperes. Each output has a separate common power terminal. The outputs are labeled with green LED indicators to show the status of outputs. The module employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 1500 volts between logic and field sides and 500 volts between outputs. This device can be easily mounted in an I/O slot of either 5 or 10-slot baseplate and at any input or output slots of the 90-30 PLC system. The IC693MDL390 offers a high level of inrush current and is used in many industrial applications such as solenoids and motor starters.
The IC693MDL390 can be electrically supplied either by the operator or from 120 volts AC to 240 volts AC power supply. This module draws a current of 110 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 volts DC on the backplane. The outputs are equipped with 3 amperes fuses and include an RC snubber to prevent the power line electric transient noise. These fuses can be shown by the “F” red LED indicator. The outputs draw a maximum current of 2 amperes per point and a maximum current of 5 amperes per module. The output module includes a hinged door that supports an insert in between the outside and the inside surfaces. The outside left edge of the insert is red-colored to show that this device is a high-rating voltage module. The hinged door inside area includes the wiring details of the circuit and the outside area contains the identification detail regarding the circuit. The IC693MDL390 output module weighs approximately 410 grams (0.90 pounds) while shipping.
