The IC695PBM300 is a PROFIBUS Master Module from GE Fanuc Automation. The module is designed for the RX3i Series of modules, allowing them to receive or send data on a PROFIBUS-DP network. The IC695PBM300 supports up to 125 slaves from PROFIBUS-DP. The master module can support input and output data of 244 bytes each per slave, this means a total of 3,584 bytes of output data and 3,584 bytes of input data in total. Data rates supported by the IC695PBM300 master module are 9.6 kilobits per second, 19.2 kilobits per second, 93.75 kilobits per second, 187.5 kilobits per second, 500 kilobits per second, 1.5 megabits per second, 3 megabits per second, 6 megabits per second, and 12 megabits per second. The module can be operated in Freeze and Sync modes. The master module IC695PBM300 can display DP-V1 Read, Write, and Alarm messages.
The PROFIBUS master module IC695PBM300 requires an RX3i CPU with framework version 2.9 or later and for configuration; it also requires Machine Edition version 5.0 SP2 Logic Developer PLC or later. The module needs to be installed in an RX3i Universal backplane for operation. It has a 9-Pin Sub-D connector to connect the bus cable. The PROFIBUS master module includes three (3) PROFIBUS compliant LED indicators to indicate network and module status. The green LED indicator shows the presence of power and completion of the backplane reset of the module. The Network LED indicator on the module is steadily yellow when the module is holding the PROFIBUS token and is ready for transmitting telegrams. If the yellow LED flashes, the module is sharing the network with another master module. When the Network LED is red, there is a communication problem like a connection timeout with at least one slave in the network. The MOD Status LED indicator on the module indicates the status of the module. When it is green, the module is configured and has established a connection with a device on the network. If the green light flashes, the module is waiting for configuration or there is a problem with the firmware. If the yellow light flashes, the module is in boot loader mode, has a non-recoverable error, or is downloading.
The GE Fanuc IC695PBM300 module requires four hundred and forty (440) milliamperes (mA) at three-point-three (3.3) volts direct current (DC) of internal power. This GE Fanuc module is recommended to be stored in an area where the temperature is consistantly within a range of negative forty degrees Celsius (-40 °C) to eighty-five degrees Celsius (85 °C). A temperature range of zero degrees Celsius (0 °C) to sixty degrees Celsius (60 °C) is recommended when operating this device. It comes with backplane compatibility for RX3i PCI. Furthermore, the backplane current consumption of this GE Fanuc module is four hundred and forty (440) milliamperes at 3.3 volts direct current (DC).
The GE Fanuc PROFIBUS IC695PBM300 network module, in terms of data size, supports up to 3584 bytes of input data and 3584 bytes of output data. This module is widely used to establish connections between the PROFIBUS-DP network, and the RX3i CPU. This PROFIBUS module supports 125 PROFIBUS-DP slaves. Per slave, this GE Fanuc module supports two hundred and forty-four 244 bytes of output data, as well as two hundred and forty-four (244) bytes of input data. Unlike other modules, it supports all regular data rates.
Also, it comes with support for DP-V1 write, read, and alarm messages. There are several LED indicators on this module. For operation, this module requires firmware version 2.9 or later, and a RX3i CPU. On the catalog, more information can be found under the IC695 section. The mounting location for this module is the RX3i PCI.
