The GE Fanuc Emerson IC695HSC304 is a high-speed counter module that provides direct and rapid processing of fast pulse signals with a frequency of 1.5 megahertz. The module can be employed mainly in industrial applications such as velocity measurement, material handling, meter proving, motion, and process monitoring. The device includes eight high-speed inputs, seven high-speed outputs, and from one to four counters. This HSM supports an input voltage of either 5 volts DC or an input voltage range from 12 volts DC to 24 volts DC. The IC695HSC304 has a red/green LED indicator labeled “TB” which indicates the state of the terminal block. This unit supports a spring, box, extended spring, or extended box style front terminal block.
The IC695HSC304 supports I/O interrupts and flash memory to upgrade the firmware. This device can be removed and inserted under power. The unit can be easily mounted in an RX3i universal backplane. This HSM has LED indicators that are located on the faceplate to show the module, field, and terminal block status. The IC695HSC304 delivers an output current of 10.5 amperes per module and 1.5 amperes per channel. This HSM can be programmed as either a user-defined or type A, B, C, D, E, or Z counter. The module employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 250 volts AC continuously between logic and field sides and 2500 volts AC for one minute.
