The GE Fanuc Emerson IC695CMU310 is a Max-ON CPU that can offer a hot-standby CPU redundancy by employing two Rx3i PacSystems. The CPU is employed to achieve real-time monitoring of machines and processes. The device includes 10 megabytes of RAM, 10 megabytes of NVRAM storage and user storage, 32-kilowords for analog I/O, and 32 kilobits discrete I/O. This CPU contains the RS-232 and the RS-485 serial ports to send data, save applications, and update the firmware. The IC695CMU310 includes six LED indicators on the faceplate to show the current CPU status. The device supports Serial I/O, Modbus RTU Slave, and SNP connections. This CPU exchanges data through one or two Ethernet LAN ports. This unit offers an execution speed of 195 microseconds per 100 Boolean coils or contacts.
