The GE Fanuc Emerson IC695CMM002 is a serial communication module that has two (2) independent and isolated serial ports. Six (6) IC695CMM002 modules are supported in the principal RX3i PACSystem backplane. The module ports can be set for CCM slave, MODBUS master/slave, or serial I/O protocol. This module offers an electrical isolation of 500 Volts DC between ports and 250 Volts AC between the port and the backplane using optocouplers. The ports can be employed in RS-232 and RS-485/422 communication. The device includes RTS/CTS hardware handshake for the communication protocol. This module draws a current of 115 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 Volts DC and a current of 700 milliamperes at a voltage of +3.3 Volts DC. The IC695CMM002 offers a data rate range from 1200 bauds to 115.2 kilobauds.
The IC695CMM002 offers seven to eight bits for transferred data including either a single or two stop bits. The module can be set without or with either even or odd parity.
