The General Electric (GE) Fanuc IC754VBI08CTD is a control and view QuickPanel thin film transistor (TFT) display that offers a 12-bit touch and an 8-inch screen with 800x600 pixels and about 65 thousand color options. The rated voltage range is 10.8 – 30 VDC and a maximum power consumption can be 24 Watts. The backlight is a cold cathode florescent light (CCFL) with a timer and a life expectancy of 50 thousand hours and 400 NITS luminance. The backlight of the IC754VBI08CTD cannot be replaced. The processor used in this device is a X-Scale PXA255 with 300 MHz clock speed.  With a Microsoft Compact Embedded (CE) operating system in place, the configuration takes place through a software called the Proficy View (Machine-Edition). This device should have internet access at all times to operate and it comes with a built-in web browser to view the web sites. The web browser comes with the operating system and it is also capable of acting as a web server as well as a file transfer server and a proxy server. It has a flash storage of 32Mb which can be extended to 64 MB or 96 MB, a DRAM for 32MB, ROM for 512 KB and a SRAM of 512 KB which can retain the data in the occurrence of a power outage. There are two LED status indicators on the IC754VBI08CTD terminal that determine the power status (present on the left-side) and a programmable indicator (present of the right-side with red, green and amber color indicators).  The IC754VBI08CTD should be operated in a temperature ranging 32 and 122 °F or 0 to 50°C and the storage temperature range is -4 to 158 °F or -20 to 70°C.
