This device is designed to meet visualization, command and Input/Output requirements in industrial automation systems, as well as integrate these features into one platform simplifying command and providing enhanced control (real-time), flexible application, and high-powered performance. A 24-volt voltage of operation with a direct current power source, along with 48 watts of output power is featured in this device. The ES1222 comes with a total of 1 RS232-RS485 port combo, 1 dedicated RS232 port, 2 USB ports and, 2 10-100 Mbps Ethernet ports that feature auto-negotiation. 9.6 to 28.8 volts of direct current through an external power source are required to power this device. This terminal by General Electric Fanuc has a 12-inch visual interface in the form of a thin film transistor LCD screen with a resolution of 800x600 as well as a cold cathode type fluorescent backlight. Data entry, management of operations, and configuration of applications can be done via the keyboard featured on this terminals resistive touch screen or an externally connected keyboard. A flash memory of 64 megabytes that stores the long-term memory of the standard processor and serves as storage for user application programs is also included in this General Electric Fanuc drive. It may be utilized in a non-condensing 10-90 percent relative humidity and has a range of temperature between 0 - 50 degrees Celsius. The ES1222 terminal weighs 2.5 pounds and has complete housing dimensions of 8.9 by 11.9 by 2.4 inches.
