The ES0600 module is the perfect remedy for plant floor HMI as well as control. It includes a 5.7-inch diagonal embedded backlit flat-panel monochrome display. It features a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels and 256 shades of gray, and employs passive FSTN technology. It is linked to a 12-bit resistive touch panel. A soft keyboard option is also available. There is only a single serial data transmission port marked as COM1. It is an all-purpose, two-way serial communication channel that adheres to the electrical standards EIA232C & EIA485. It has an Ethernet port (IEEE802.3) and an RJ45 connector that can be used for connecting a network cable with the unit. Channel status is shown by two LED indicators present on the port.  The module has a 16 MB non-volatile memory block that serves as primary long-term program storage. It has roughly 16 MB of dynamic RAM. For real-time clock and SRAM, an internal lithium battery exists in the module. It provides additional backup power for both and also guarantees that no data is lost when the main source is disconnected. The main supply is DC in nature and should have an input range of 10.8 to 30 volts. If a 12 VDC supply is used to turn on the module, then it should be  +/- 10% regulated, but  +/- 20% regulation is allowable for 24 VDC supply. It operates well within a temperature range of -10 to 60 °C. It weighs around 1.16 kilograms. The ES0600 is UL and CE certified.
