The 1791R-8B8P module was designed and produced by the company known as Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. This module is an eight (8)-point direct current (DC) CompactBlock remote input / output (I/O) module. This Allen Bradley unit has around four (4) to eight (8) inputs for each block. Additionally, this unit has the same number of outputs for each block. The list of electrical specifications for this module includes an input on-state voltage of ten (10) volts direct current (DC) minimum, as well as an input off-state current of one-point-five (1.5) milliamperes minimum. This Allen Bradley module also has a minimum on-state current of two (2) milliamperes at ten (10) volts direct current (DC). It also has an on-state output voltage range of ten (10) volts DC to thirty (30) volts DC. Additionally, this module has an on-state output current of zero-point-five (0.5) milliamperes at peak performance. The Allen Bradley 1791R-8B8P module is capable of being mounted via a panel or a DIN rail mount. Additionally, this device may be mounted either horizontally or vertically. Base and extension modules can be installed next to one another. When connecting to the terminal, users must use a remote input / output (I/O) three (3)-pin female connector. The enclosure of this Allen Bradley device is rated as an IP19 enclosure. When operating this module, the temperature of the surrounding area should range from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, or 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. However, when storing this module, the temperature of the surrounding area should range from -40 to +85 degrees Celsius, or -40 to +185 degrees Fahrenheit.
