Part number 2707-V40P1 is a product of Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation and was designed and developed to enable operators to manipulate and monitor process data on the factory floor. Having a maximum current rating of 800 milliamperes and a 1-ampere fuse, this DTAM Plus interface has an embedded 40K memory capacity, supports up to 50 or 244 data screens, has embedded real-time clock, supports recipe operations, and has a point-access display function. Fitted with the capability to adjust its VFD brightness, this device has a 24-key, color coded, tactile feedback, embossed sealed membrane keypad for operator input. This device is fitted with three (3) LED (light emitting diode) indicators on the front panel, as well as a printer port and a non-removable power connector screw terminal block. Additionally, this device is fitted with a 6-position DIP switch for selecting operating settings. This device’s RS-232 communication port has a 2400 baud rate and 8 data bits, while its printer port has a baud rate of 9600 baud.
Allen Bradley’s 2707-V40P1 has an operating temperature of 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, a storage temperature of -4 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, and a relative humidity rating of 5 to 95 percent non-condensing. This terminal should be mounted in an enclosure or panel to ensure circuit protection meeting NEMA type 4, 12, and 13 standards. The RS-232 communication port of this module supports point-to-point communication with SLC 5/03, 5/04, 5/05 channel, and PLC-5 Channel 0 as well as MicroLogix 1000 controllers. The communication and printer ports of this device have a rated port isolation of 500 volts, while its keypad has an operating force of 340 grams and an operational life of 1 million cycles.
