The 2707-MVP232 MicroView operator interface module was designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation. This module is an appropriate MicroLogix controller companion since it lets the operator locally observe the process and alter data contained in the host controller's memory. This controller allows for the development of approximately 50 screens, as well as the upload, download, and start of recipe activities. This interface module enables visualization through an LCD (liquid crystal display) panel, which displays two (2) lines of data, each of which may hold up to sixteen (16) characters. The character size is 0.22 inches x 0.12 inches (5.56 mm x 2.96 mm), with a 5 x 7 dot matrix format. It contains a yellow-green LED (light emitting diode) with a fixed intensity and fixed contrast and a viewing area of 0.58 inches x 2.35 inches (15 mm x 60 mm), as well as a horizontal viewing angle of 30° and a vertical viewing angle of –20° to +30°. This operator interface module includes a power input terminal, as well as the necessary adaptor. It requires an input supply voltage of 11 to 25 volts DC and has a rated power consumption of 1.5 watts. The embedded communication port is an RS-232 8-pin mini-DIN circular connector that is used to link MicroLogix and compatible programming workstations.
