The 1609-B600N Uninterruptible Power Supply is one of Allen Bradley’s manufactured 1609 family series of industrial power supplies. The Uninterruptible Power Supply is used extensively in industrial applications, typically for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) workstations to forestall the unconventional shutdown of workstation computers. Furthermore, it produces environments for flexible installation that also includes control panels with UPS. The UPS supports maintaining the power of the control devices during power inconstancies and provides excellent support for systems that need to operate with high availability. Standard powered devices are Human Machine Interface (HMI), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), 24VDC power supplies, and other control components. The front of the UPS includes 3-dry I/O contacts and one remote enable/disable switch connection. The 3-dry contacts need external power supplies though the remote enable/disable switch doesn't need any external power. It has Hard-wired input and output with electrical codes that typically do not allow plug-in connections within a control panel. It also provides USB communications. The 1609-B600N Uninterruptible Power Supply has an expandable battery capacity batteries can be added to UPS to increase its run-time or support additional equipment. Its built-in battery operates for 2-3 years at 25 °C ambient temperature. But in case of battery degradation, a chargeable sealed Lead-Acid battery was designed to be replaced. Lead-Acid battery needs about 12 hours to reach 90% capacity, and it can last for 5 minutes at 25 degrees Celsius and a full-load. The 1609-B600N power supply does not contain a power factor correction (PFC) aptitude, and it works on 50 to 60 Hertz frequency with a deviation of 3 Hertz in either direction.
