The 825-PIOD is a Modular Protection System that is manufactured and branded by Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation. The 825-PIOD offers the user a compact and modular design that allows for configuration of a device’s functional capabilities to match the application requirements. The 825-PIOD monitors the critical elements of motor operation – motor current, line voltage, and temperature – to ensure in-depth motor protection coverage. Specifications for the 825-PIOD include a 0.5…500 Ampere current range, 120/240 Volt AC and 24/48 Volt DC control power, and pluggable options – voltage input card, expansion I/O cards, communication cards (including DeviceNet), and RTD scanner module. This hardware is suitable for low-to-medium voltage applications and is offered with conformal coating options. It offers energy metering (MWh, MVARh) and comprehensive protection functions. The 825-PIOD has a built-in keypad with a backlit 2-line liquid crystal display (LCD), a test/reset button, status LEDs, front accessible RS-232 port, and three (3) output relays. It offers the operator two configurable inputs and is NEMA 12 (IP65) compatible.
Mechanical specifications for the 825-PIOD Modular Protection System include an operational ambient temperature that ranges between -20 and 60 degrees Celsius (-4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and an ambient storage temperature between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit).
