The 825MST standard option card is compatible with Allen-Bradley designed smart motor management series of products, which is known as the 825 series. To connect to a core balance transformer using the zero-sequence approach, users must utilize this option card, which must be installed on the user’s computer (core balance). A speed switch, three extra auxiliary relays, and an isolated 4 to 20 milliamperes analog signal for indicating the observed maximum RTD temperature, motor current, or thermal capacity use are also available on this option card, as are three additional auxiliary relays. A series of up to six positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistors may be connected together using this device as well.
This same analog input, the short circuit safety, the stalling while start protection, the two-speed motor safety, the ground (Earth) faults (core balance CT), and the thermistor input are all accessible features of the PTC. Because it is designed exclusively for the programmable relay, the 825-MST card also provides extra protection to the base unit to which it is linked. The earth-fault current range of the 825-MST is varied from 5 milliamperes to 50 amperes.
This product has been authorized for use in the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA), and it has been tested to ensure that it complies with the Council Directive 89/336/EEC on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
