The 5069-OF8 is an Allen-Bradley analog output module. It is part of the Compact 5000 I/O series. This module features eight voltage or current output channels. The output range for voltage is +/- 10 volts, 0 to 10 volts, and 0 to 5 volts. The available output range for current is between 0 to 20 milliamperes and between 4 to 20 milliamperes. The module has 16 bits of data available. The resolution ranges from 80 micro-volts per bit to 320 micro-volts per bit for voltage and 320 milliamperes per bit. The module has a drive capability of one kilo ohm minimum for voltage and 500 ohms maximum for current. Voltage mode allows the module to carry a capacitive load of up to one microfarad. Current mode gives a maximum inductive load of one millihenry. The module provides open circuit detection while in current mode. It provides short circuit detection while operating in voltage mode with the output electronically limited to 16 milliamperes or less. The output module takes just 25 microseconds to convert the input signal using an R ladder DAC. Overvoltage protection is also provided to a limit of 32 volts DC. The module occupies a slot width of one in the chassis. It has dimensions of 144.57 x 22 x 105.42 millimeters (5.69 x 0.87 x 4.15 inches). It supports mounting using a compatible zinc-plated chromate-passivated steel DIN rail. The EN50022 DIN rail is compatible with this unit. The module supports the 5069-RTB18-SPRING and -SCREW removable terminal blocks.
