This Allen-Bradley brand product, the 5069-IA16, is a compact 5000 discrete AC input module. This module helps with enabling the interfacing of binary operating signaling devices. The module operates at a voltage category of 120-240 volts AC. This module 5069-IA16 normally has 16 AC input channels in one group. Most importantly, the module was created to accept a signal voltage in the range of 79-264 volts AC with a frequency range of 47-63 Hz. The 5069-IA16 can serve as local input/output module of 5069 CompactLogix controllers or distributed input/output component of both CompactLogix / ControlLogix controller systems. If the 5069-IA16 is installed with the help of an Ethernet I/P communication adapter, then it can implement the distributed input/output architecture. This module’s channel often exhibits an off to on signal delay of 10 ms plus filter time, where selectable filter times include 1 ms for 120 volts AC input and 1 ms, 2 ms, and 5 ms for 240 volts AC input. Similarly, on to off signal delay is 10 ms plus filter time, where configurable filter times are 10 ms, 20 ms for 120 VAC and 5 ms, 10 ms, and 20 ms for 240 volts AC input. MOD power passthrough of this device is 9.55 amperes, and the MOD Power is 75 mA, both at 18-32 volts DC. This module has an SA power passthrough of 9.975 amperes and an SA power of 240 mA, both operating in the range of 79-264 VAC. A removable terminal block (RTB) should be used when terminating input signals to this module.
