The cable pull switch 440E-D13118 is from the Lifeline 3 series of the Allen-Bradley brand. It functions as an emergency stop that is activated by a cable or a rope and meets the strict ISO 13850 (Safety of Machinery – Emergency Stop Equipment) requirements. The Lifeline 3 switch finds its application in complex machinery such as conveyors and enables an always ready emergency stop facility. The positive mode switch has two normally closed safety contacts and two normally open auxiliary contacts. It has a thermal current output of 10 Amperes and rated insulation voltage of 500 Volts. The minimum switching current at 5 Volts DC is 5 milliamperes. The cable length between two switches at the end can be up to 30 meters (98 feet). The switch needs a typical force of 103 N (23.17 lb.-ft.) of tensioning force to run position and 188 N (42.3 pounds) of tensioning force to lockout. The operating force is 125 N (28.1 pounds) minimum at 300 mm of deflection. The actuation frequency can be up to 1 cycle per second. The operating life expected at a load of 100 milliamperes is 1 million operations. The enclosure rating is IP67 and operating temperature range is -25 to 80 degrees Celsius (-13 to 176 degrees Fahrenheit). The switch housing is heavy-duty painted zinc-based die-cast alloy and indicator material is glass-filled nylon with stainless steel eye nuts. The switch weighs 610 grams (1.34 pounds) and has a yellow body with a blue reset button. The switch is CE marked and has certifications from c-UL-us, TUV, and CCC.
