Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation designed and manufactured the 2198-D057-ERS4 as part of the Kinetix 5700 Ethernet / IP servo system. This product is a dual axis inverter. It interacts with the feedback element linked to the Kinetix servo motor in order to determine the current position of the servo motor. The maximum loop velocity has a bandwidth of four hundred (400) hertz, while the maximum current loop has a bandwidth of one thousand (1000) hertz. The pulse width modulation (PWM) of this device is four (4) kilohertz (kHz). The rms constant output current is 23 amperes, with a peak continuous output current of 32.5 amperes. The inverter has a peak output current of 57.5 amperes rms and a peak output current of 81.3 amperes (0-pk). With a three-phase arrangement, the continuous output power nominal at 324 to 528 volts rms is 15.9 kilowatts (kW). At 458 to 747 volts of direct current (DC), the DC input current is 24.5 amperes. The inverter has a 705-microfarad internal capacitance. When operating at 24 volts maximum, the power current per module of the dual-axis inverter is 2.3 amperes and 8.3 amperes, with an inrush current of 4 amperes. These ratings correspond to when utilizing a non-brake motor. The Ethernet interface of the 2198-D057-ERS4 allows this axis module to implement motion control through Ethernet / IP and connect with other devices including HMI, SCADA, and PLC systems. The module has been certified by c-UL-us, CSA, FM, CE, RCM, Ex, IECEx, KC, and EAC.
