The 1494G-CF3N is a disconnect switch and is a product of Allen-Bradley. It is a three-phase device and has a power rated at 15 horsepower to 60 horsepower. The disconnect switch's current rating, which is continuous, is 60 amperes and the voltage supply is rated at 250 volts direct current (DC) and 60 volts alternating current (AC). The device is three poles and has a mechanical life of 20000 operations when operating under a current supply that is between 30 amperes and 200 amperes.  The switch does not incorporate any fuse within its system and, therefore, offers an easy mode of opening and closing the circuit. However, this device does not offer any circuit protection. The device features the normally open (NO) auxiliary contact.

The disconnect switch is made up of metal structure that is painted. For the switch to operate effectively without subjecting it to critical thermal conditions, it should be subjected to temperatures that are between negative (-) 30 and 40 degrees Celsius while operating. However, the temperature range in which the device can be exposed to increases when in its non-operational state. The storage temperature should be between negative (-) 40 and 65 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity that this disconnect switch can be subjected to, at a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, is 90 percent.

The type of enclosure supports the use of the disconnect switch indoors and outdoors. It offers protection against different weather such as rain, snow, wind that may blow up dust. It is a weatherproof enclosure. It also provides protection to the handler against shock due to touch.
