Allen Bradley designed and producedthe 140-MN-0250 module. This is a motor protection circuit breaker that was created specifically for motor isolation and branch circuit protection. It has a trip indicator that indicates whether or not the breaker has been tripped. Because it is a three-phase breaker, it has three poles. The thermal release current range of the breaker is 1.60 to 2.50 amperes, and the magnetic release rating is twenty-eight (28) amperes. The breaker has a current rating of one thousand two hundred (1200) amperes and a voltage rating of six hundred (600) volts of alternating current (AC).
The 140-MN-0250 has three-phase power ratings of 0.37 kilowatts (kW) at 230 volts, 0.55 to 0.75 kilowatts at 400 volts, and 1.5 kilowatts at 600 volts. The three-phase horsepower rating of the breaker is 0.5 horsepower (Hp) at 230 volts, along with 1 horsepower at 460 volts, and 1.5 horsepower at 575 volts. Furthermore, from 480 to 600 volts, the maximum short circuit current is forty-two (42) kiloamperes, while the maximum backup protection current is around 1200 amperes. This module is a device from the Series D family and it has a 120% FLA tripping current rating.
The breaker can be stopped or reset, and it has a green and red start or stop buttons. The CE, IEC 947, and EN 60947 standards have all been met by this Allen Bradley module. Moreover, this module also has auxiliary contacts on the front and can be mounted on a mounting base. This device can operate in temperatures ranging from -20 to 60 degrees Celsius.
