The Allen-Bradley 1797-RPFM is a ControlNet Ex-Fiber repeater module. It can integrate with Allen-Bradley's 1797-RPA from the 1797 series to create a repeater hub. It can also extend the length of the ControlNet segments. This module can be applied to hazardous areas and can allow interoperability among ControlNet modules. Additionally, this repeater module is a medium-range outcome that comes with two link channels. Its communication rate is 5 megabits, and its fiber media length is 3 km. The compatible fiber type is 62.5-125 mm, and its termination type is ST plastic or ceramic. Moreover, its operating wavelength is 1300 mm, and its optical power budget is 13.3 dB. The module powers 5.4V, and its optical peak output power is less than one milliwatts. Besides that, it features two status channels with green color indicators. This module carries agency certificates. The corresponding specs about the module's IS media are available in user guides from the manufacturer. Since this repeater module allows DIN rail mounting type, it is mountable directly using a mounting kit. The 1794-NM1 kit is able to attach this repeater directly to the DIN rail using 18 screws.
