The 1797-RPA is a ControlNet Ex modular repeater adapter module with one (1) ControlNet BNC port that offers a 5.0 Mbps communication rate. The input/output capacity of this module is up to two (2) fiber modules. This ControlNet Ex modular repeater adapter module has IS media type of Ex ib IIB/IIC T4, AEx ib IIC T4, Class I, Division 1 with groups A to G T4 and IS module type of Ex ib IIB/IIC T4, AEx ib IIC T4, Class I Division 1 Groups A to D T4. Embedded modular indicators like power LED and module LED are also featured in the 1797-RPA module. The power supply module has a power consumption of 8.5 Watts with a power dissipation and thermal dissipation of 29 British Thermal Units (BTU) per hour. The appropriate wire size is 4 millimeters (^2) or 12 gauge of stranded copper wire for making the connection to module with a thickness of 1.2 for insulation.
The 1797-RPA module is Class I, Class II, and II/Division 1, Zone 1 and Zone 22 rated for use in hazardous locations and the module has a conformal coating that offers required safety from corrosion. The module uses ControlNet communication protocol with 5 megabits per second of maximum speed at the communication port. The input/output capacity for the product is two (2) fiber modules, so the repeater module can be fused with one or two 1795-RPFM modules. Many advantages are offered by this combination for the complete unit, such as the development of a repeater hub to internally connect systems that are operating in hazardous environments. The module has a 9.5 Volt DC power supply and its regular power dissipation is 8.5 Watts. The unit has 5.4 Volts of output energy and a thermal dissipation of 29 British Thermal Units (BTU) per hour.
